The owner, Melissa Swogger, having 3 kids of her own and not satisified with the quality of daycare locally available, opened Somewhere Over the Rainbow Childcare & Preschool back in December 2005. It has quickly grown to meet the demands of the local community and now has established itself as a premier "learning" childcare facility.
Melissa's background, with a Master's degree in Business from Duquesne University, along with her previous experience with childcare, facilitated the desire to open a Daycare Center that strives to educate your children as opposed to just watching them. She established a preschool program which has already received many compliments from the parents and local school teachers.
The daycare center is large enough for your children to emotionally grow amongst their peers, but small enough that more individualized attention can be given to your child as opposed to the "big chain" daycare facilities.
The location of the daycare center, sitting back off the main road in a plaza, offers convenience and additional safety for your child.
